Roles & Responsibilities

The Mid-Level Lifecycle Support Engineer – Turbine Spare Part Forecasting is responsible for managing and improving spare parts forecasting and inventory planning for gas and steam turbines. This role works closely with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure optimal parts availability, reduce downtime, and support lifecycle asset management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Spare Parts Forecasting & Planning

  • Develop and maintain accurate spare parts forecasts based on historical usage, maintenance schedules, and asset condition.

  • Analyze turbine lifecycle data and collaborate with reliability engineers to refine parts demand forecasts.

2. Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

  • Use data analytics tools to monitor spare parts consumption trends, lead times, and stock levels.

  • Generate detailed reports and KPIs to guide inventory optimization and procurement decisions.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with maintenance planners, procurement, and engineering to align spare parts availability with operational and overhaul plans.

  • Facilitate communication regarding forecast updates, potential shortages, and inventory adjustments.

4. Lifecycle Management Support

  • Support lifecycle planning by tracking turbine component health and its impact on spares requirements.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement projects to identify critical parts and optimize stocking policies.

5. Continuous Improvement & System Support

  • Lead initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy, system integration, and inventory control processes.

  • Assist in implementing and optimizing ERP and digital tools for spare parts management and forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Experience: 3–7 years in lifecycle support, maintenance planning, or supply chain roles related to rotating equipment or turbines

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP MM/PM preferred), Excel, and data visualization tools

    • Good communication and project coordination skills
