Roles & Responsibilities

The Junior Lifecycle Support Engineer – Turbine Spare Part Forecasting assists in the analysis, planning, and forecasting of spare parts requirements for gas and steam turbines throughout their lifecycle. This role supports the maintenance and reliability teams by ensuring accurate parts availability to minimize downtime and optimize inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Spare Parts Forecasting

  • Support forecasting activities by analyzing historical usage data, maintenance schedules, and operating conditions to predict future spare parts needs.

  • Assist in updating and maintaining parts demand forecasts aligned with turbine lifecycle and overhaul plans.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect and analyze data related to turbine part consumption, failure rates, and lead times.

  • Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making by maintenance and supply chain teams.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with maintenance planners, engineers, and procurement to align forecasted parts requirements with operational plans.

  • Assist in communicating forecast changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.

4. Lifecycle Management Support

  • Aid in tracking the lifecycle status of turbine components and their impact on spare parts demand.

  • Participate in root cause analyses and reliability reviews to identify parts criticality and stocking priorities.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Support initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy, data quality, and inventory management practices.

  • Assist in implementing digital tools and systems for spare parts tracking and forecasting.

  • Data analysis of turbine part usage, lead times, and maintenance activities

  • Coordination between maintenance, procurement, and engineering teams

  • Support for lifecycle and reliability-driven inventory planning

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Experience: 0–2 years in engineering, maintenance planning, or supply chain roles; internships or relevant project experience preferred

  • Skills:

    • Basic understanding of rotating equipment and turbine components

    • Proficient with MS Excel and data analysis tools

    • Good communication and teamwork abilities
