Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Senior Land Surveyor is responsible for leading and managing all surveying activities across large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This includes planning and executing precise field surveys, supervising junior surveyors, ensuring accuracy in layout and measurements, and providing critical input into engineering and design decisions. The role ensures that all land-related data is collected, analyzed, and presented accurately for design and execution purposes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage land and construction survey operations across multiple sites.

  • Conduct and verify topographic, boundary, layout, and as-built surveys.

  • Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level surveyors and field assistants.

  • Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and correct use of surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Theodolites, Auto Levels).

  • Validate all site layouts, alignments, levels, and control points in accordance with project specifications.

  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and planning teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent.

  • Prepare detailed survey reports, field notes, drawings, and digital models using CAD and other software.

  • Ensure all survey work complies with local laws, safety protocols, and technical standards.

  • Assist in resolving site-level discrepancies and disputes related to measurements or boundaries.

  • Support project planning and progress tracking through accurate field data and mapping.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7–10+ years of professional surveying experience, including in supervisory roles.

  • Strong command of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey data processing software.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with GPS, total stations, and leveling equipment.

  • Deep understanding of construction techniques, land development processes, and regulatory requirements.
