Job Title: Inventory Control Engineer – Valve Tracking, Lifecycle & Spare Parts

Job Summary

The Junior Inventory Control Engineer supports valve inventory management by ensuring accurate tracking, lifecycle monitoring, and spare parts availability. This role collaborates closely with maintenance, procurement, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels, streamline spare parts usage, and support operational reliability.


Key Responsibilities

πŸ“Š Valve Inventory Management

  • Maintain and update valve inventory records including quantities, specifications, and location tracking.

  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with system data.

  • Assist in analyzing valve usage trends to optimize reorder levels and reduce obsolescence.

πŸ”„ Lifecycle & Spare Parts Coordination

  • Monitor lifecycle stages of valves and coordinate with maintenance for scheduled replacements or repairs.

  • Track warranty periods and ensure timely procurement of critical valve spares.

  • Support preparation and issuance of valve spare kits for maintenance or shutdown activities.

  • Work with maintenance and operations teams to understand valve spare part needs and urgency.

  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for accurate labeling, storage, and handling of valve components.

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with storage conditions and safety procedures for sensitive parts.

  • Use CMMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) to enter and update valve inventory and maintenance data.

  • Generate reports on valve stock status, lifecycle alerts, and spare parts consumption for management review.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in inventory accuracy and spare part readiness.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Required)

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in inventory control, maintenance support, or supply chain functions

  • Familiarity with valve types and mechanical components preferred


Skills & Competencies

  • Good understanding of valve inventory and maintenance lifecycle concepts

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP/CMMS software usage

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to coordinate across teams and communicate clearly

  • Analytical mindset for data-driven inventory optimization
