Roles & Responsibilities

Job Role 

Engaged on a per-job or project basis to manage and execute interior fit-out projects for residential, commercial, and retail properties. Responsibilities include managing the design, installation, and finishing of all interior elements such as walls, flooring, ceilings, partitions, and furniture. The role requires the ability to work with multiple teams, vendors, and subcontractors while adhering to project timelines, budgets, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management:

    • Oversee and manage interior fit-out projects from start to finish, ensuring all work meets design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

    • Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all materials, equipment, and resources are available and delivered on time.

    • Supervise and manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with the project scope and high-quality workmanship.

    • Regularly update clients on the progress of the project and address any issues or changes to the scope or design.

    • Ensure all aspects of the interior fit-out are completed, including wall finishes, flooring, ceiling treatments, lighting, joinery, furniture, and fixtures.

  • Interior Installations:

    • Oversee the installation of partition systems, false ceilings, flooring (carpet, wood, tile), wall coverings, and paint.

    • Install and supervise the installation of bespoke joinery, cabinetry, and furniture, ensuring accuracy and quality.

    • Manage electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems installations in coordination with specialists, ensuring compliance with building regulations.

  • Design & Customization:

    • Work with interior designers to understand and interpret design concepts into practical, buildable solutions.

    • Provide technical input on the feasibility of design ideas and suggest improvements or alternatives.

    • Ensure that custom pieces such as furniture, partitions, and fixtures are built according to specifications.

  • Compliance & Quality Control:

    • Ensure all work complies with local building regulations, health, safety standards, and design specifications.

    • Conduct regular quality checks and inspections during all stages of the project, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.

    • Ensure that all materials and finishes are of the highest quality and adhere to client expectations.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including scope of work, work orders, material lists, design documents, and change orders.

    • Submit regular progress reports, time sheets, and material usage to the project coordinator or client.

    • Document completed projects, including before-and-after photos, and provide warranty information as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in interior fit-outs or project management, with expertise in all aspects of commercial and residential interior construction and design.

  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end interior fit-out projects, including the installation of partitions, flooring, ceilings, furniture, and other interior elements.

  • Strong understanding of interior construction techniques, materials, and finishes.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and design plans, drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong project management and team leadership skills, with experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple teams.

  • Ability to work with various stakeholders, including designers, architects, and suppliers.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Basic English for communication and documentation (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

  • Smartphone for CRM, project management tools, navigation, and photo documentation.

  • Valid UAE driving licence preferred; willingness to travel between sites.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), HSE, or interior fit-out certifications are an advantage.

  • First Aid and HSE Awareness certifications are beneficial.
