The Instrumentation and Control Tube Fitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and inspecting tubing systems for instrumentation and control equipment. This role involves working under the guidance of senior technicians to ensure proper assembly and functionality of tubing systems while adhering to safety and quality standards. The position allows the fitter to build hands-on experience and develop technical proficiency in tubing systems.
Install, assemble, and connect tubing systems for instrumentation and control equipment.
Cut, bend, and fit tubing using industry-standard tools and techniques.
Inspect and test tubing systems for leaks or defects, ensuring proper functionality.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tubing systems under supervision.
Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Document work activities and maintain accurate records of installations and inspections.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to company and industry standards.
Basic knowledge of tubing materials, fittings, and assembly techniques.
Familiarity with tools used in tubing installation, such as tube benders, cutters, and flaring tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and address issues in tubing systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in pipefitting, instrumentation, or a related field is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in tubing installation, maintenance, or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with instrumentation tubing systems is advantageous.
Tube benders, cutters, and flaring tools for installation and maintenance.
Measuring instruments, such as calipers and pressure gauges, for accuracy checks.
Basic hand tools ( wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers).
Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work in field environments.
