The Instrumentation and Control Tube Fitter is an entry-level role designed to provide foundational skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of tubing systems for instrumentation and control equipment. This position involves assisting senior fitters, learning to use specialized tools, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role offers hands-on training and opportunities for career growth in the field of instrumentation and control.
Assist in the installation and assembly of tubing systems for instrumentation and control equipment.
Learn to cut, bend, and connect tubing using industry-standard tools and techniques.
Support the inspection and maintenance of existing tubing systems to identify defects or leaks.
Follow instructions to assemble fittings, valves, and other components in tubing systems.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
Document work activities and maintain accurate maintenance logs under supervision.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Basic understanding of instrumentation and control systems and their components.
Familiarity with standard tools used in tubing installation ( tube benders, cutters, flaring tools) is advantageous but not mandatory.
Willingness to learn technical skills and follow instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in pipefitting, mechanical engineering, or a related field is a plus.
No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Previous internships or apprenticeships in a related field are beneficial.
Basic hand tools ( wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers).
Tubing-specific tools ( tube benders, cutters, flaring tools) under supervision.
Measuring instruments ( pressure gauges, rulers, calipers).
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work in field environments.
