The Junior Instrumentation Technician supports the day-to-day maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instruments and automation components in food and beverage production lines. This role focuses on ensuring accurate measurements, safe operations, and reliable process control under the supervision of senior engineers or technicians.
Assist with installation and wiring of field instruments (temperature, pressure, level, and flow sensors).
Support preventive maintenance (PM) activities on instruments across utilities, process, and packaging lines.
Conduct basic instrument calibration and verification using handheld tools.
Learn to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring drawings under guidance.
Help identify and report instrument faults, wiring issues, or sensor errors.
Maintain and clean sensor housings, junction boxes, and instrumentation panels.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards while handling equipment.
Document work activities, calibration logs, and checklists as per plant SOPs.
