Job Title: Senior - Information Security Analyst

Job Summary

The Senior Information Security Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization’s information assets. This position is responsible for leading security initiatives, managing threat analysis, and ensuring that the organization's security posture aligns with industry best practices. The analyst will oversee security architecture, mentor junior analysts, and guide strategic security decisions to mitigate risks and enhance the overall security framework. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to integrate security measures throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate incident response and forensic investigations to identify and mitigate security breaches.
  • Design and implement advanced security solutions and frameworks that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee vulnerability management programs and conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and refine security policies, procedures, and incident response plans to ensure a robust security posture.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, ensuring secure coding and deployment.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance, including GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2, to ensure adherence to legal and industry standards.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on security best practices and threat awareness.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cryptography, and secure network design.
  • Proficiency in threat hunting, malware analysis, and penetration testing techniques.
  • Experience with SIEM tuning, automation, and security orchestration (SOAR) tools.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills to guide security teams effectively.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GSEC, or CISM are preferred.

Key Focus Areas

  • Security architecture and governance.
  • Threat intelligence and advanced forensics.
  • Compliance and risk management.

Experience

6–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or SOC leadership is required.

Tools and Equipment

Proficiency in advanced SIEM, SOAR, and forensic analysis tools is essential for this role.

Other Requirements

The ability to lead security teams and projects effectively is crucial for success in this position.
