The Mid-Level I&C Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems within plant operations. This role supervises a team of technicians to ensure system reliability, safety, and optimal process control, contributing to efficient plant performance.
Supervise daily operation and maintenance activities of I&C systems including PLCs, DCS, sensors, control valves, and safety systems.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of instrumentation and control issues to minimize downtime.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on system improvements and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, system status, and incident reports.
Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on I&C systems and safety protocols.
Support commissioning and startup activities of new instrumentation and control projects.
Team Supervision & Development:
Lead and mentor a team of I&C technicians to maintain high performance and technical competence.
System Reliability & Maintenance:
Ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation of plant instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
Manage complex fault diagnosis and corrective actions to reduce operational disruptions.
Safety & Compliance:
Uphold strict adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align control systems with operational goals.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of system performance, maintenance, and improvements.
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in instrumentation and control within plant operations or process industries.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, control valves, sensors, and industrial automation systems.
Proven experience supervising technical teams.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in plant environments.
