The Senior I&C Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of instrumentation and control system operations within a high-speed food manufacturing facility. This includes the supervision of field technicians, process control optimization, compliance assurance, and system reliability to support efficient and safe production.
Lead the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of food-grade instruments (e.g., flow, temperature, pressure, pH, level, and conductivity sensors).
Ensure hygienic compliance of all I&C equipment in accordance with 3A, EHEDG, and FDA standards.
Oversee the performance of automated systems including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and HMI platforms.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for I&C systems.
Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM) for work orders, scheduling, and asset tracking.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for recurring control/instrumentation issues.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior I&C technicians and mid-level supervisors.
Provide on-the-job training on troubleshooting methods, calibration standards, and food safety practices.
Ensure team compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality protocols.
Collaborate with QA, production, and automation teams to fine-tune control loops and optimize equipment efficiency.
Recommend and execute automation upgrades, sensor standardization, and control system enhancements.
Lead instrumentation projects during shutdowns, new line installations, and facility expansions.
Ensure full compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other relevant food safety regulations.
Maintain proper calibration documentation and audit-ready records.
Participate in internal/external audits and regulatory inspections.

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering
7+ years of I&C experience, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory capacity in food/FMCG/pharma plants
Expertise with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, or Emerson control systems
Familiarity with industry-standard instrumentation (e.g., Endress+Hauser, IFM, Rosemount, Yokogawa)
Certification in ISA, ISO 17025, or food safety regulations preferred
