We are seeking an accomplished Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Project Manager to lead advanced aerospace programs involving complex control systems. The role demands deep technical expertise combined with strategic project leadership to drive successful delivery of I&C systems integrated with avionics, propulsion, environmental, and safety systems across various aerospace platforms.
Direct all phases of I&C project lifecycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver control and automation systems aligned with aerospace requirements.
Manage program schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication with internal and external partners.
Coordinate with avionics, embedded software, propulsion, and systems engineering teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.
Develop and maintain documentation including design specs, validation protocols, and regulatory compliance reports.
Oversee test campaigns including component, system integration, and flight readiness testing (HIL/SIL/FAT/SAT).
Ensure compliance with international aerospace standards (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD, AS9100, ARP4754A).
Integrated Avionics and Control Systems: Coordination of I&C with navigation, flight control, and communication systems.
Automation & Fault-Tolerant Design: Development of autonomous control logic and redundancy for mission-critical systems.
System Integration and Validation: Managing full-stack testing environments (HIL/SIL), ensuring system-level coherence.
Aerospace Compliance and Certification: Leading efforts in meeting FAA/EASA/military certification and audit processes.
Supplier and Vendor Oversight: Managing relationships with technology suppliers and ensuring compliance with program specs.
Cybersecurity and Safety: Embedding cybersecurity principles and functional safety (IEC 61508, DO-326A) in I&C architectures.
Cost and Schedule Optimization: Applying earned value management (EVM) and lean project principles to maximize efficiency.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, or Aerospace Engineering.
7+ years in I&C engineering, with 3+ years in aerospace or defense project leadership.
Solid understanding of control systems design, embedded hardware/software integration, and aerospace systems engineering.
Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, NI hardware, and aerospace testing suites.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred; working knowledge of Agile and systems engineering principles.
