Job Title: Hydraulics Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Fresher Hydraulics Mechanic to join our maintenance team and assist with the upkeep and servicing of hydraulic systems and components. As a fresher in this role, you will be provided with hands-on training and mentorship from senior technicians to help you develop your skills in hydraulics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, fast-paced manufacturing environment and build a career in hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in Hydraulic System Maintenance:
- Assist senior technicians in the routine maintenance and servicing of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and checking fluid levels to ensure smooth system operation.
- Help identify and report any issues with hydraulic components that may need further inspection or repair.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues in hydraulic systems, including leaks, pressure loss, and component failure.
- Follow guidance from senior technicians to perform basic repairs, such as replacing seals, hoses, or filters.
- Learn and apply industry-standard diagnostic techniques to identify problems and assist in fixing them.
Hydraulic Component Installation:
- Support the installation of new hydraulic components and systems, following safety protocols and technical specifications.
- Help with the setup and calibration of new hydraulic systems to ensure proper performance.
- Assist with the testing of newly installed components to verify that they meet quality standards and operational requirements.
Hydraulic Fluid Management:
- Assist in monitoring hydraulic fluid levels and quality, ensuring the proper fluids are used for different systems.
- Help with fluid replacement, filtration, and checking for contaminants to maintain optimal system performance.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in training sessions to develop your technical skills in hydraulic system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Work closely with senior technicians to learn about hydraulic systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of hydraulic systems through on-the-job training and guidance.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for hydraulic systems and components.
- Assist in preparing basic reports on hydraulic system performance and maintenance logs for review by senior technicians and management.
- Follow established procedures for documenting service work, parts used, and service times.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols when working with hydraulic systems, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to workplace safety standards.
- Ensure that hydraulic systems and repair work meet safety and quality regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working space.

Vehicle Dynamics:
- Assist in understanding and optimizing hydraulic systems used in vehicle dynamics, focusing on stability and handling for hydraulic components.
Powertrain Systems:
- Contribute to the service and maintenance of hydraulic systems in powertrain components, ensuring efficiency in systems like transmissions and drivetrains.
Structural Engineering:
- Learn about the integration of hydraulic systems within vehicle structures for durability and performance under varying conditions.
Electronics & Electrical Systems:
- Support the integration of hydraulic systems with electronic and control systems to ensure smooth operation of vehicle functions, including control and power distribution.
Thermal Systems:
- Assist in the maintenance of hydraulic systems related to thermal management, such as engine cooling or HVAC units that rely on hydraulic functions.
Manufacturing & Assembly:
- Help in optimizing manufacturing processes related to the assembly and integration of hydraulic components into larger systems, improving overall system efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduates with limited or no prior experience in hydraulic systems are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, especially hydraulic systems and components.
- Familiarity with common tools and diagnostic equipment used for hydraulic maintenance.
- Ability to read basic technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Soft Skills:
- A keen willingness to learn and develop hands-on skills in hydraulic systems maintenance and repair.
- Good communication skills to work with senior technicians and other team members.
