Job Description: Human Resource Information Specialist
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Information Specialist (HRIS Specialist) at the entry level
supports the HR department by managing and maintaining HR systems and data.
This role involves assisting with the administration of HR information systems,
ensuring data accuracy, and generating reports to support HR decision-making.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working
with HR technology in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating the HR Information
System (HRIS) with accurate employee data.
- Help troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT or
software vendors for system enhancements.
- Input and verify employee data, ensuring consistency and
accuracy across HR systems.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports to support HR
functions such as payroll, benefits, and performance tracking.
- Provide basic support to HR staff regarding the use of
HRIS tools and data entry protocols.
- Assist in the development and documentation of user
guidelines and procedures for the HRIS.
- Ensure that all HR data is managed in compliance with
company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security at all times.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in data
management and system usage.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance system
knowledge and technical skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information
Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Recent graduates or candidates with relevant coursework
in HR or IT are welcome.
- 0-2 years of experience in HR or data management is
preferred; internships or relevant academic projects are considered a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational
skills.
- Basic understanding of HR processes and data management
practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new HR software systems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work
collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for technology and
process improvement.
- HRIS-related training or certifications are a bonus, but
not required at the entry level.
