Job Summary:
The Senior Hospital Automation Specialist is responsible for leading the implementation, management, and optimization of complex automation systems within healthcare facilities. The senior specialist acts as a mentor to junior staff, drives innovation, and collaborates with stakeholders to align automation systems with hospital objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership in System Implementation and Optimization:
- Lead the deployment and integration of advanced hospital automation systems, including building management systems (BMS), IoT-based devices, and patient monitoring platforms.
- Oversee upgrades and enhancements to ensure automation systems meet hospital operational and clinical requirements.
- Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for automation system setup, maintenance, and usage.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for high-complexity automation systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues using sophisticated diagnostic tools and data analysis.
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring system failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Management:
- Ensure all automation systems comply with industry standards and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, ISO 13485, and IEC requirements.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, maintaining detailed documentation of system configurations and performance.
- Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols to maintain system integrity and compliance.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Mentor junior and mid-level specialists, providing guidance on technical issues and professional development.
- Conduct training sessions for team members and hospital staff on the use and maintenance of automation systems.
- Supervise the work of team members, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with IT, clinical, and facilities management teams to ensure automation systems align with hospital workflows.

Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting automation systems in healthcare or related industries.
