Job Summary:
The Manager-Level Hospital Automation Specialist is responsible for leading strategic planning, implementation, and management of automation systems across healthcare facilities. This role involves overseeing multidisciplinary teams, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The manager collaborates with stakeholders to align automation initiatives with hospital objectives, ensuring optimal system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategies for deploying, managing, and optimizing hospital automation systems, including building management systems (BMS), patient monitoring solutions, and IoT platforms.
- Define project goals, allocate resources, and establish performance metrics to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of automation systems.
- Monitor system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and align automation initiatives with organizational objectives.
System Oversight and Optimization:
- Oversee the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced hospital automation systems.
- Lead system upgrades and ensure smooth transitions during implementation of new technologies.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance system efficiency and operational outcomes.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all automation activities comply with healthcare industry regulations, including HIPAA, ISO 13485, and IEC standards.
- Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, maintaining accurate documentation and certifications.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in automation processes.
Team Management and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of automation specialists, fostering skill development and technical expertise.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to build a high-performing team.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely and high-quality execution of automation activities.
Project Management:
- Plan and oversee large-scale automation projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, and facilities management, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Report project progress, risks, and outcomes to hospital leadership and other stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and contractors for automation systems.
- Provide regular updates on system performance, compliance, and project progress to hospital leadership.
- Address operational challenges and propose innovative solutions to improve system reliability and user satisfaction.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance system reliability.
- Research and implement emerging technologies, such as predictive maintenance and AI-driven automation, to stay ahead of industry trends.

Educational Qualifications:

Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in managing automation systems, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in a healthcare or related industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Tools and Technologies:
- Expertise in building management systems (BMS), hospital workflow platforms, and IoT-based devices.
