Engaged on a per-job basis to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain light vehicles/vans, small generators (up to ~100 kVA), pumps/motors, and small plant & tools used on residential/light-commercial maintenance sites. You’ll deliver fast, accurate diagnostics, execute repairs to OEM standards, and close jobs with full documentation and client sign-off.
Advanced diagnostics: Electrical/mechanical fault finding using OBD-II/scan tools, multimeter, pressure/vacuum gauges, compression/leak-down tests, NVH basics.
Vehicle repairs (light vehicles/LGV): Engine peripherals, timing components (as qualified), cooling, fuel & ignition, alternator/starter, brakes, suspension/steering, hubs/bearings, clutch/driveline; basic auto-AC service (if certified).
Generators & small engines: Service/overhaul of diesel/petrol gensets (filters, belts, pumps, injectors, AVR checks, governor settings), load tests, commissioning.
Pumps & rotating equipment: Seal/bearing replacement, alignment, coupling/belt tension, cavitation checks, priming/flow/pressure verification.
Small plant & tools: Pressure washers, compactors, mixers, cutters—inspection, repair, parts replacement, PAT/basic safety checks.
Preventive maintenance: Develop PM checklists, schedule services, maintain service histories and parts lists.
Parts & variations: Identify parts via VIN/plate, prepare BoQs, get approvals for variations; manage core returns/warranties.
Documentation: Record diagnostics, readings, torque specs, photos, parts used, and customer sign-off in CRM.
HSE & quality: Apply LOTO, hot-work permits, fire watch as needed; maintain tidy work areas; protect client property.
Client communication: Explain findings, options, costs, and ETAs clearly; escalate scope requiring machining or specialist services.
5–8 years hands-on mechanic experience (UAE experience preferred) across light vehicles and at least one of: generators, pumps, or small plant.
Expert use of OBD/diagnostic suites, multimeter/clamp meter, compression & leak-down testers, fuel pressure gauges, dial indicators, torque wrenches, pullers/press tools.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, service manuals, and parts catalogs; strong workmanship standards and housekeeping.
Basic English for notes and client updates (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).
Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.
Valid UAE manual driving licence preferred; ability to travel between emirates.
ITI/Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade certificate).
OEM/Dealer or KHDA/TVET certifications are a plus.
Certificates in Auto-Electrical/Electronics, Diesel Engine, Work-at-Height, Hot-Work/Fire Safety, and First Aid preferred.
F-gas/Auto-AC handling certificate (if performing AC work).
