Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior HVAC Technician to lead our HVAC maintenance and repair operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing complex installations, advanced troubleshooting, and comprehensive repairs of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

• Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level technicians, providing guidance on advanced HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance schedules and projects to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Lead team meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and drive continuous improvement in HVAC processes.

Advanced Installation & Commissioning:

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring all work meets technical specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams during new installations and system upgrades.

Complex Troubleshooting & Repairs:

• Diagnose and resolve challenging mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Perform detailed inspections, testing, and adjustments of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive maintenance programs to extend system lifespan.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations in all HVAC operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, repairs, system upgrades, and parts inventory.
• Prepare detailed performance and incident reports, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and repair actions for future reference and training purposes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical certification, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in HVAC technology, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Advanced technical certifications in HVAC systems are a strong advantage.

Experience:

• A minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proven experience in supervising teams and managing complex HVAC projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving advanced HVAC system issues.

Skills:

• Extensive technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including both mechanical and electrical components.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools, HVAC management software, and interpreting performance data.
• A proactive approach to safety, continuous improvement, and staying updated with industry trends.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are required.
• Additional certifications in advanced HVAC technology, energy efficiency, or related areas will be considered a plus.
