Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Mid-Level HVAC Technician to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will work both independently and collaboratively with senior technicians to ensure optimal system performance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning:

• Install, calibrate, and commission HVAC systems according to technical specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with senior staff during system setups to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Maintenance & Repairs:

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and perform corrective repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heat pumps, furnaces, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Replace defective components and fine-tune systems to optimize performance and energy efficiency.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:

• Identify system malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Utilize diagnostic software and equipment to analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.

Safety & Compliance:

• Strictly adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in regular safety training and maintain compliance documentation.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades.
• Prepare detailed reports on system performance, including recommendations for preventive maintenance and improvements.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and repair actions for future reference.

Professional Development & Collaboration:

• Mentor junior technicians by sharing best practices and technical expertise.
• Stay updated with emerging HVAC technologies and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or an associate degree in HVAC technology, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Proven experience with installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and HVAC management software.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical expertise in HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following safety and technical guidelines.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are an advantage.
• Additional certifications in HVAC technology or energy efficiency are beneficial but not mandatory.
