Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically inclined Junior HVAC Technician to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is ideal for candidates with some foundational knowledge or training in HVAC systems who are eager to further develop their technical skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning:

• Assist senior technicians in installing and commissioning HVAC systems.
• Support the setup, calibration, and testing of HVAC equipment to ensure proper functionality and adherence to technical specifications.

Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting HVAC systems.
• Help troubleshoot and diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues.
• Assist in minor repairs and component replacements under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:

• Utilize basic diagnostic tools to identify system malfunctions.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Conduct tests to verify HVAC system performance and safety.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in safety training sessions and drills to uphold a secure working environment.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Help update maintenance logs and prepare basic reports detailing work completed and any issues encountered.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to the supervisor.

Professional Development:

• Engage in ongoing on-the-job training to build technical proficiency in HVAC systems.
• Learn to operate advanced diagnostic tools and repair equipment under the mentorship of senior technicians.
• Collaborate with team members to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in HVAC technology, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
• A basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems is beneficial.

Experience:

• 1-2 years hands-on experience, internships, or relevant training in HVAC systems is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow in the HVAC field are encouraged to apply.
