Job Title: HVAC System Installer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior HVAC System Installer to join our installation team. This role is ideal for candidates with some foundational training in HVAC technology who are ready to gain hands-on experience in installing, testing, and commissioning HVAC systems. You will work closely with senior installers and receive on-the-job training to ensure high-quality installations that meet industry standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation Assistance:

• Assist senior installers in setting up HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems.
• Support the assembly, mounting, and positioning of HVAC equipment in accordance with technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Help connect electrical and mechanical components to ensure proper system functionality.

System Testing and Commissioning:

• Participate in the initial testing and performance checks of installed HVAC systems.
• Learn to calibrate and commission systems under the supervision of experienced technicians.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving installation issues to ensure optimal system performance.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during installation tasks.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in safety training sessions and follow guidelines for proper tool handling and equipment use.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Assist in maintaining accurate records of installation activities, including work logs and equipment usage.
• Support the preparation of basic reports on installation progress and system performance.
• Document any issues encountered during installation and promptly report them to the supervisor.

Learning and Development:

• Engage in on-the-job training to enhance technical skills in HVAC installation and system commissioning.
• Collaborate with team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of HVAC system design, installation practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Stay updated with emerging HVAC technologies and installation methods through continuous learning opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in HVAC technology, electrical, or mechanical systems is preferred.
• A basic understanding of mechanical or electrical principles is advantageous.

Experience:

• 1-3 hands-on training, internships, or coursework related to HVAC system installation is desirable.
• Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills are encouraged to apply.

Skills:

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
