The Junior HVAC Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day supervision of HVAC system installation or maintenance activities. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for candidates who have hands-on field experience and are now stepping into a leadership role to manage small teams, monitor quality, and coordinate routine or project-based HVAC tasks under the guidance of a senior supervisor or engineer.
Assist in supervising the installation of HVAC components such as ductwork, piping, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV units, diffusers, and insulation.
Support coordination with electrical and plumbing trades for equipment placement and utility access.
Ensure technicians follow installation drawings and specifications during on-site works.
Track daily progress and assist in preparing reports, material requests, and snag lists.
Participate in site inspections and quality checks alongside QA/QC teams.
Supervise routine maintenance of HVAC systems including filter replacement, coil cleaning, belt adjustments, and lubrication.
Respond to breakdowns and support troubleshooting of chillers, VRF systems, compressors, thermostats, and controls.
Maintain logbooks for preventive maintenance schedules and repair histories.
Monitor inventory of spare parts and raise requests for replenishment when required.
Ensure proper completion of service orders, checklists, and work permits (if in industrial or commercial facilities).
Hands-On Supervision: Monitor technician activities and provide on-site instructions for proper installation or servicing.
Technical Support: Assist in basic troubleshooting and report complex issues to senior staff.
Quality Assurance: Verify that work meets safety and technical standards under project or O&M protocols.
Work Planning: Coordinate with other trades (civil, electrical, BMS) for timely and efficient execution of tasks.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules and PPE usage during HVAC work.
ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or HVAC-related field.
1–3 years of practical experience in HVAC installation or maintenance.
Familiarity with HVAC components (ducts, piping, motors, fans, thermostats, compressors, etc.).
Ability to read basic HVAC layouts and schematic diagrams.
Strong communication and team coordination skills.
Basic knowledge of safety practices in mechanical work environments.
