The Senior HVAC Production Supervisor leads full-shift operations across HVAC manufacturing lines, overseeing teams responsible for assembling high-efficiency systems such as rooftop units, air handlers, compressors, coils, and packaged systems. This role ensures that safety, quality, output, and cost targets are consistently met. In addition to daily floor management, the senior supervisor drives strategic improvements in manufacturing performance, collaborates across departments, and plays a key role in workforce development and lean transformation efforts.
Manage multiple HVAC assembly lines, ensuring optimal staffing, equipment utilization, and production flow to meet daily and weekly targets.
Ensure compliance with work instructions, takt time, and production sequencing.
Resolve complex issues related to production delays, material shortages, and personnel conflicts in real time.
Lead a team of 40–100+ employees including team leads, assemblers, and line technicians.
Conduct performance reviews, enforce attendance standards, and execute development plans for high-potential staff.
Serve as a mentor to junior supervisors and coordinate cross-training programs for workforce flexibility.
Champion product quality by working closely with QA/QC teams to reduce defects, rework, and warranty exposure.
Drive compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001/14001, and internal safety standards.
Lead or support incident investigations, hazard identification, and plant safety audits.
Lead kaizen events, implement standard work, and eliminate non-value-added activities.
Identify opportunities for automation, tooling upgrades, and process reengineering.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to validate new process introductions and design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.
Represent production in daily tier meetings and provide input on production planning, maintenance coordination, and engineering changes.
Interface with materials, logistics, and supply chain to minimize downtime due to inventory or part availability.
Report operational KPIs to plant management, including throughput, OEE, scrap rate, and labor utilization.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) or equivalent practical experience is a plus
8–12+ years of progressive experience in HVAC or electromechanical product manufacturing
5+ years in a supervisory/leadership role in a high-volume production environment
Proven track record of leading teams, improving KPIs, and implementing lean tools
In-depth knowledge of HVAC system components and manufacturing processes
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
Experience with ERP/MES systems, performance dashboards, and root cause analysis (RCA)
Ability to lead under pressure, adapt to rapid changes, and drive culture transformation
High proficiency in data-driven decision-making, process mapping, and team coaching
