Job Title: HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will work independently on maintenance tasks while collaborating with senior technicians and engineers. You will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex system issues, and ensuring HVAC equipment operates efficiently and safely. This position is ideal for candidates with several years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance looking to advance their technical expertise and contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance & Inspections:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and checking system components.
• Identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs to prevent system downtime.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure equipment records are up-to-date.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

• Diagnose and resolve moderately complex HVAC system malfunctions using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, compressors, and control systems.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions and optimizing maintenance procedures to enhance system reliability.

Installation & Commissioning Support:

• Provide support during the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems by performing equipment tests and calibrations.
• Collaborate with installation teams to ensure proper system integration and functionality.
• Verify that new installations meet performance standards and safety regulations.

Safety & Compliance:

• Strictly adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in safety audits and ongoing training to stay current on best practices and regulatory requirements.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare detailed maintenance reports, including records of inspections, repairs, and system performance.
• Document troubleshooting processes and repair actions to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding system performance and maintenance needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in HVAC technology, mechanical, or electrical systems is preferred.
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles and equipment operation.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system maintenance, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving moderately complex system issues.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and schematics.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are an advantage.
• Additional certifications in HVAC technology or related fields are beneficial but not required.
