We are looking for a Junior HVAC Engineer to assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial, industrial, and energy sector facilities. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of HVAC principles and is eager to grow in a technically rigorous environment aligned with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and API standards. This entry-level position offers valuable exposure to real-world projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
Assist in the design of HVAC systems including ductwork, chilled water systems, air handling units, and ventilation schemes.
Prepare preliminary HVAC layouts and calculations (load analysis, duct sizing, pump head calculations).
Support equipment selection and specification development under senior supervision.
Apply knowledge of ASHRAE standards (e.g., 90.1, 62.1) and SMACNA duct design guidelines during system layout and sizing.
Gain familiarity with API standards for HVAC design in oil & gas or industrial environments (e.g., API 500, API 521).
Ensure documentation supports regulatory and safety compliance during design and construction.
Assist in creating technical documentation: HVAC drawings, schematics, data sheets, and BOQs.
Participate in internal design reviews, vendor coordination, and site inspections when applicable.
Support HVAC coordination with architectural and structural disciplines using CAD and BIM tools.
Attend internal and external training to deepen understanding of HVAC codes, systems, and software tools.
Stay updated on new technologies, energy-efficient HVAC practices, and industry best practices.
