Job Title: Mid-Level HVAC Design Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mid-Level HVAC Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing HVAC system projects for commercial, residential, or industrial applications. You will work independently on design projects while collaborating closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and code compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis:

• Develop comprehensive HVAC system designs using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP).
• Perform detailed load calculations, duct and piping design, and equipment sizing for various projects.
• Analyze energy efficiency and system performance to propose sustainable design solutions.

Project Management and Coordination:

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to integrate HVAC designs into overall project plans.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Manage design revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical guidance on HVAC design challenges and assist in resolving issues during the design and implementation phases.
• Evaluate and select appropriate HVAC equipment and components based on project requirements and budget constraints.
• Stay updated with current industry trends, building codes, and energy standards to ensure design compliance.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Participate in client meetings and design reviews to present solutions and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with project managers to align design solutions with client expectations and project objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors for technical and product support.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid academic background with coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and HVAC system design.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of professional experience in HVAC design engineering, preferably within commercial or industrial projects.
• Proven track record in managing design projects from concept through to implementation.

Skills:

• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct detailed load and energy calculations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies and industry practices.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or working towards one is an advantage.
• Additional certifications in HVAC design, energy management, or sustainable building practices are a plus.
