Job Title: HVAC Boiler Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level HVAC Boiler Technician to join our service and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for independently handling complex boiler installations, performing routine and advanced maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting system issues with minimal supervision. You will collaborate with both junior technicians and senior engineers to ensure the efficient and safe operation of HVAC boiler systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup:
- Execute HVAC boiler system installations, including connecting piping, electrical components, and control systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Independently calibrate and commission boiler units, ensuring proper startup and functionality.
- Conduct thorough inspections during installations to verify system integrity and performance.
Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform advanced routine and preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and component adjustments to maintain optimal system performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex boiler issues, and execute repairs or replacements of faulty components independently.
- Develop and implement corrective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of boiler systems.
Safety & Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during installation and maintenance activities.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in periodic safety training and audits, contributing to the continuous improvement of safety practices.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Prepare comprehensive maintenance reports and service logs that track performance and highlight improvement opportunities.
- Document any recurring issues and propose actionable recommendations to management.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including senior engineers and junior technicians, to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge and best practices in HVAC boiler maintenance.
- Assist in troubleshooting sessions and contribute to team discussions aimed at improving overall system performance.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in HVAC technology, boiler maintenance, or related fields is preferred.
- A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in HVAC applications.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC boiler installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex boiler issues independently.
- Experience in maintaining detailed service records and following strict safety procedures.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficient use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Capability to mentor junior team members and share technical expertise.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are an advantage.
- Additional certifications in HVAC or boiler technology are beneficial but not required.
