Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Boiler Technician – Fresher to join our service and maintenance team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited work experience who are eager to start a career in HVAC boiler maintenance and repair. You will receive hands-on training in the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of boiler systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation in various applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup:
- Assist senior technicians in installing HVAC boiler systems, including connecting piping, electrical components, and control systems according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Support the calibration and commissioning of boiler units to ensure they operate correctly upon installation.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating boiler components to maintain optimal performance.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting basic issues, learning to repair or replace faulty components under supervision.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of boiler systems.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards during all maintenance and installation activities.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in safety training sessions to ensure a thorough understanding of hazard prevention and emergency procedures.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Help prepare basic reports and logs detailing service activities and performance checks.
- Document any operational issues and relay them to supervisors for further investigation.
Learning and Development:
- Engage in on-the-job training programs to build technical expertise in HVAC boiler systems.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians to learn advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in boiler maintenance and energy efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in HVAC technology, boiler maintenance, or related fields is a plus.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is advantageous.
Experience:
- 0-1 years of prior professional experience is required; this is an entry-level position.
- Any internships, hands-on projects, or vocational training in HVAC systems or boiler maintenance will be considered an asset.
Skills:
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in boiler maintenance.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with familiarity using hand and power tools.
