Job Title:  HVAC Boiler Installer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Level HVAC Boiler Installer to join our installation team. In this role, you will work more independently and take on increased responsibility in installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting HVAC boiler systems. You will collaborate with senior technicians and support junior staff, ensuring that installations meet high-quality standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup:

  • Execute complete HVAC boiler system installations, including the proper connection of piping, electrical components, and control systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Independently calibrate and commission boiler units, ensuring optimal startup performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections during installations to ensure system integrity and compliance with technical guidelines.

Testing & Commissioning:

  • Perform detailed testing and commissioning of installed boiler systems, ensuring that all operational parameters meet performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose installation issues, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Verify system functionality and performance through comprehensive checks and adjustments.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support during maintenance and repair tasks, addressing issues that arise during and after installation.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance strategies to extend system lifespan and reduce downtime.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and successful resolutions for continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations throughout the installation process.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and contribute to improving installation safety practices.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including work logs, test results, and maintenance reports.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and reports on installation progress, system performance, and any issues encountered.
  • Provide feedback on installation procedures to help refine best practices.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship:

  • Collaborate with senior technicians and cross-functional teams to optimize installation processes.
  • Mentor junior installers by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Contribute to team meetings and process improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.

  • Installation Quality: Ensure high-quality, reliable boiler installations that meet technical and safety standards.
  • Performance Testing: Emphasize thorough testing and commissioning to guarantee optimal system performance.

  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold rigorous safety standards and regulatory compliance in all aspects of installation work.
  • Team Collaboration: Enhance team performance through effective communication and mentorship.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in HVAC technology, boiler installation, or related fields is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within HVAC applications.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC boiler installation, maintenance, or related areas.
  • Proven ability to work independently on complex installation tasks and troubleshoot system issues.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and safety protocols.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are advantageous.
  • Additional certifications in HVAC technology or boiler installation are a plus.
