Job Role

Engaged on a per-job basis to clean and disinfect residential/light-commercial water tanks (GRP, concrete, polyethylene), restore water hygiene, and document results per our SOPs and local-authority guidelines. Coordinate with dispatch for access, isolation, and shutdowns, then close jobs with full documentation and client sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-job assessment: Verify tank type/size, access, isolation points, and pump/valve status; plan safe drainage and entry.

  • Isolation & drainage: Shut down pumps, close inlet/outlet/return lines, tag/lock as required; drain and capture wastewater per site rules.

  • Mechanical cleaning: De-sludge, scrape, and scrub internal surfaces; clear sediments/scale from floors, corners, and joints; vacuum residues.

  • Wash & rinse: Low-pressure/controlled washing (as suitable to tank material); collect and dispose rinse water safely.

  • Disinfection: Prepare and apply approved disinfectant (e.g., sodium hypochlorite) at the correct concentration; ensure contact time; neutralize/flush.

  • Refill & recommissioning: Refill tank; restart pumps; check float valves/NRVs; verify no leaks and adequate flow.

  • Basic testing & reporting: Measure/document residual chlorine and pH; record before/after photos, materials used, contact time, and client sign-off in CRM.

  • Lab coordination (as required): Collect water samples for accredited microbiological testing; submit results to client.

  • HSE compliance: Follow confined-space protocol (gas testing/ventilation/standby), chemical-handling SOPs, PPE use, ladder/work-at-height safety, and heat-stress controls.

  • Client communication: Explain scope, variations (heavy sludge, damaged fittings), and post-service hygiene advice; protect surrounding areas and ensure tidy handover.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2–4 years hands-on water-tank cleaning/disinfection or related hygiene services (UAE experience preferred).

  • Practical knowledge of tank materials, cleaning sequences, safe chemical dilution, and potable-water hygiene.

  • Confident with basic readings (free chlorine, pH) and simple checklists/SOPs.

  • Fit for confined-space, lifting, and rooftop/underground works.

  • Basic English for notes and client updates (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

  • Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.

  • Valid UAE driving license preferred; ability to travel between emirates.

Education & Certifications

  • High school (preferred).
