Job Title: Flight Systems Calibration Engineer
Job Summary:
The Flight Systems Calibration Engineer (Fresher) is responsible for assisting in the calibration, testing, and validation of flight systems in aircraft and aerospace applications. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to work with flight control systems, avionics, and related equipment, ensuring that all systems meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers to assist in performing calibrations, troubleshooting issues, and documenting test results. Key Responsibilities:
Flight Systems Calibration:
- Assist in the calibration of flight systems, including avionics, flight control systems, navigation systems, and communication equipment, ensuring they meet operational specifications.
- Support senior engineers in performing calibration procedures for sensors, actuators, and flight control components, ensuring accurate system performance during flight operations.
- Assist in verifying and adjusting system parameters to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Testing and Validation:
- Participate in testing flight systems to ensure they meet performance requirements, accuracy, and reliability.
- Support the preparation and execution of flight system test plans, helping collect and analyze test data.
- Assist in performing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, environmental testing, and simulations to validate system functionality and ensure safe operations.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Help troubleshoot flight system issues, such as sensor misalignment, data inaccuracies, and system malfunctions, by using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document troubleshooting processes and assist in creating troubleshooting guides for future reference.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Assist in analyzing test data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring that system calibration is optimized for safe and efficient flight operations.
- Document calibration processes, test results, and system adjustments, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Assist in generating reports for senior engineers, project managers, and regulatory bodies, summarizing calibration results, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
System Integration and Maintenance:
- Assist in integrating new flight systems or components into existing platforms, ensuring proper calibration and system compatibility.
- Support routine maintenance tasks, including system checks and recalibration, to ensure optimal system performance and readiness for flight operations.
- Help maintain and update system calibration records, ensuring all calibration activities are logged and compliant with regulatory standards.
Learning and Development:
- Continuously learn about flight systems, avionics, and aerospace technologies to expand knowledge and improve technical proficiency.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops related to calibration techniques, flight control systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements related to flight systems and calibration processes.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all calibration, testing, and maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as FAA, EASA, and ISO, ensuring all calibration processes are accurately documented.
- Participate in safety audits and reviews to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of flight control systems, avionics, and aerospace technologies.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or academic projects related to flight control systems, avionics, or calibration is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; internships, academic projects, or practical training in aerospace systems, avionics, or flight testing are advantageous.
- Exposure to calibration techniques, flight systems, or diagnostic tools through academic coursework or internships is beneficial.
