The Field Instrumentation Supervisor leads a team of technicians responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation on industrial blenders, mixers, and associated process systems. The role includes team supervision, compliance oversight, task planning, and collaboration with production and QA, ensuring safe and consistent operation of all instrumentation within regulatory and operational standards.
Supervise all field instrumentation activities on mixing and blending systems, including batch tanks, reactors, and transfer systems.
Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrations, and equipment inspections.
Ensure effective resource planning, manpower allocation, and work prioritization across shifts or production cycles.
Monitor and verify loop integrity, signal performance, and PLC/DCS interface for all instrumentation.
Lead efforts in investigating instrumentation failures, initiating root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, such as LOTO, PPE, confined space procedures, and hazardous area standards.
Validate documentation and records for audit readiness, including calibration logs, maintenance records, and compliance reports.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level technicians.
Coordinate with QA, production, and engineering during validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), equipment upgrades, and new installations.
