The Field Instrumentation Technician (Mid-Level) is responsible for executing the installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation systems integrated with industrial mixers, blenders, and allied equipment. This role involves working with PLC/DCS systems, ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards, and maintaining instrument accuracy to support consistent batch quality and plant efficiency.
Install, commission, and calibrate instrumentation systems for process equipment like mixers, blenders, tanks, and agitators.
Troubleshoot faults in field devices such as RTDs, pressure transmitters, level sensors, VFDs, torque and load cells.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) on instruments related to mixing operations.
Execute loop checks and signal verification for analog and digital I/O connected to control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS).
Maintain and update instrumentation documentation, including calibration certificates, loop diagrams, and work orders.
Collaborate with control engineers, electricians, and mechanical teams during breakdowns and equipment shutdowns.
Assist in validation and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for newly installed or modified blending systems.
Ensure compliance with GMP, GEP, and safety protocols, especially in regulated environments like pharma or food.
