Job Summary
A Junior Fiber Optics professional is responsible for assisting in the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in fiber optics and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fiber optic cable installation, termination, and splicing.
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of fiber connections.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of fiber routes and connections.
- Support senior team members in fieldwork and equipment handling.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Basic understanding of fiber optic networks and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Familiarity with testing equipment such as OTDRs and power meters.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Educational Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in a related field is a plus).
- Fiber optics certification (e.g., CFOT) is preferred.
Key Focus Areas
- Learning fiber optic installation techniques.

Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in telecommunications or networking.
