The Senior Facilities Inspector is responsible for overseeing comprehensive inspections across all facility systems, ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards. This role involves planning inspection schedules, leading a team of junior inspectors, and coordinating with maintenance and engineering departments to support the smooth and safe operation of buildings and infrastructure.
Lead regular and ad-hoc inspections of all facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, structural elements, and security systems.
Develop inspection schedules, checklists, and reporting formats aligned with organizational standards and regulatory guidelines.
Analyze inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure full compliance with local regulatory standards, safety codes, and environmental policies.
Supervise and mentor junior inspectors and technicians, ensuring consistency and accuracy in inspections.
Coordinate closely with engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to resolve critical issues.
Evaluate third-party service contractors and ensure proper execution of SLAs and KPIs.
Contribute to risk assessments, facility audits, emergency planning, and capital improvement planning.
Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all inspection activities, equipment condition reports, and follow-up actions.
Participate in budgeting input for facility upgrades and long-term maintenance planning.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
6–10 years of experience in facilities inspection, maintenance, or technical supervision.
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, building safety, and regulatory compliance.
Experience leading inspection teams and coordinating large or multi-building facilities.
Proficiency in CMMS and facility management systems.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, NFPA, local civil defense, and environmental compliance standards.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM), NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certifications.
Experience in managing inspections in sectors such as real estate, healthcare, industrial plants, or hospitality.
