The Junior Facilities Inspector assists in conducting routine inspections of building facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure proper functioning, safety, and compliance with maintenance standards. This entry-level role supports the senior team in identifying maintenance needs and coordinating corrective actions.
Assist in performing routine inspections of building areas including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general infrastructure.
Report any damage, malfunction, or non-compliance observed during inspections.
Support in preparing inspection checklists and basic condition reports.
Monitor cleanliness, lighting, ventilation, and functionality of facilities.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for minor repairs or urgent service requests.
Assist in following up on scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
Maintain records of inspection activities and communicate findings to supervisors.
Ensure safety and security standards are observed across the premises.
Support audits or external inspections by preparing relevant documents or assisting with site walkthroughs.
Report safety hazards or potential risks immediately.
Diploma or certification in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
0–2 years of experience in facility inspection, maintenance, or technical support roles.
Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance practices.
Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
Willingness to learn and work in various facility environments (offices, warehouses, residential, etc.).
Physically fit and attentive to detail.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance processes.
Basic safety certification or knowledge of HSE standards.
