We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Junior Fabrication Foreman / Shop Foreman to assist in supervising day-to-day operations in the fabrication workshop. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational background in mechanical or piping fabrication who are eager to gain hands-on supervisory experience. The selected candidate will support senior staff in overseeing fabrication activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with fitters, welders, and technicians on workshop tasks.
Assist in organizing daily fabrication tasks based on project requirements and priorities.
Support the supervision of fabrication teams including welders, pipe fitters, and helpers.
Monitor basic fabrication activities like pipe cutting, fitting, grinding, and tack welding.
Ensure work is carried out according to basic technical drawings and standards.
Report deviations or quality concerns to senior foremen or QA/QC personnel.
Assist in visual inspections of welds and fit-ups under senior supervision.
Ensure team members follow safety protocols including PPE usage and safe work practices.
Participate in toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to the shop supervisor.
Coordinate material availability and tool readiness with the store or material control team.
Help track daily work progress and assist in maintaining basic documentation.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely task completion.

Gaining technical and leadership experience in a workshop setting
Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or Welding Technology
Vocational training in pipe fitting or welding is an advantage
1–3 years of experience in a fabrication shop environment
Familiarity with common tools, machinery, and workshop procedures
Prior team leadership or crew lead experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to read and understand basic fabrication drawings
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of welding and fitting procedures
Safety-conscious mindset and willingness to learn supervisory responsibilities
