The Executive Director of Asset Integrity and Utilities is responsible for formulating and leading the strategic direction of the company’s asset integrity and utility operations. This role ensures the reliability, availability, and safe operation of all physical assets—including pressure systems, rotating equipment, pipelines, and utility infrastructure—while aligning with global standards and corporate performance goals.
Develop and implement the company’s Asset Integrity Management Strategy, encompassing mechanical, piping, civil, and utility systems.
Oversee comprehensive integrity assurance programs, including risk-based inspection (RBI), corrosion monitoring, NDT/NDE programs, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME Sec VIII, IX, B31.3, NACE, ISO 55000, and local regulations.
Direct the management of utility systems (steam, power, HVAC, compressed air, cooling towers, water systems) for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
Lead cross-functional teams in reliability engineering, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement of asset performance.
Provide executive oversight on major shutdowns and turnarounds, ensuring scope definition, risk mitigation, schedule compliance, and post-evaluation improvements.
Champion digital transformation in asset monitoring—deploying CMMS, digital twins, IoT-based monitoring, and predictive maintenance tools.
Manage technical teams, contractors, and service providers across multiple facilities or projects.
Engage with executive leadership for strategic asset planning, CAPEX/OPEX budgeting, and long-term infrastructure investments.
Represent the company in audits, client reviews, and regulatory inspections concerning asset integrity or utility operations.
Strategic Asset Management: Lifecycle planning and performance optimization of fixed and rotating assets.
Integrity Assurance: Implementation of RBI, corrosion control, inspection programs, and asset health diagnostics.
Utilities Optimization: Efficient operation and reliability of all plant utilities and auxiliary systems.
Compliance & Governance: Ensuring alignment with international codes, corporate HSE policies, and audit protocols.
Digital Innovation: Deployment of real-time analytics, condition monitoring systems, and data-driven decision tools.
Leadership & Capability Building: Development of internal teams and knowledge-sharing frameworks for continuous growth.
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (mandatory)
M.E./M.Tech, MBA, or Asset Management Certification (preferred)
Certifications (Preferred):
API 510, 570, 653
NACE, ASME Sec VIII / IX
ISO 55001 (Asset Management Standard)
PMP, Six Sigma, or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
Experience:
20+ years in asset integrity, maintenance, or reliability roles in oil & gas, power, or heavy industries
8+ years in leadership or executive positions
Demonstrated success managing complex projects such as turnarounds, shutdowns, or plant-wide utility upgrades
