The Executive Director – Valve Manufacturing Operations is a senior operations leader responsible for overseeing global or multi-site production of valve products across the organization. This role ensures manufacturing excellence through strategic planning, process optimization, quality control, and supply chain alignment. The Executive Director drives operational performance, cost efficiency, and scalability while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Define and execute the global valve manufacturing strategy in alignment with corporate goals and product demand.
Lead site operations, including machining, assembly, welding, testing, and finishing of industrial valves.
Develop and manage KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost (SQDC), and operational effectiveness.
Champion lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
Implement smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 tools to modernize operations.
Oversee capacity planning, layout optimization, and automation integration.
Ensure consistent adherence to ISO 9001, API 6D/600, ASME, PED, CE, and other applicable standards.
Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain high first-pass yield, reduce rework, and support audits.
Promote robust root cause analysis and corrective action systems across facilities.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Sales to support new product introductions and customer demand.
Ensure manufacturability and cost targets are achieved through early design engagement and DFM principles.
Drive alignment between sourcing, logistics, and production planning functions.
Lead, mentor, and develop plant managers, operations leaders, and manufacturing teams.
Build a safety-first, performance-driven, and team-oriented culture across global operations.
Develop succession plans and talent pipelines to support long-term growth and operational excellence.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (required)
MBA or Master’s in Operations Management or Engineering (preferred)
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE), or equivalent (preferred)
Familiarity with ISO, API, ASME, and global compliance standards for valve manufacturing
15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles
Strong background in valve, flow control, or engineered mechanical product manufacturing
Proven success in leading operational transformations and large-scale production teams
Deep understanding of machining, welding, testing, and assembly processes for valves
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-cultural team management
Data-driven decision-making and operations analytics proficiency
Change management, digital transformation, and capital project leadership
