The Executive Director – Aerospace Digital Technologies is a senior executive responsible for leading the development and deployment of digital platforms, systems integration, and data-driven innovation across aerospace products and operations. This role drives digital transformation through AI, IoT, data analytics, cybersecurity, and software-defined avionics to enhance aircraft performance, safety, and lifecycle value.
Digital Strategy Development – Define and execute the company-wide digital transformation strategy for aerospace platforms and operations.
Advanced Software Systems – Lead the architecture and integration of onboard digital systems including real-time computing, sensor fusion, and data management.
AI & Predictive Analytics – Oversee the development of machine learning models for predictive maintenance, health monitoring, and flight performance optimization.
Cybersecurity Governance – Establish robust digital safety protocols, avionics software protection, and secure data handling processes in compliance with global standards.
Digital Twin & Simulation – Direct implementation of digital twin technologies and high-fidelity simulations to support development, testing, and operational readiness.
Lead cross-functional teams in the development of digital technologies for aircraft systems, MRO, and connected fleet operations.
Drive innovation in embedded software, digital avionics architectures, and ground-to-air connectivity solutions.
Interface with engineering, operations, IT, and regulatory teams to align digital strategies with business and safety goals.
Represent the organization in digital technology partnerships, regulatory discussions, and industry think tanks.
Evaluate emerging technologies such as edge computing, blockchain for supply chain, and augmented reality for maintenance support.
Develop digital capability roadmaps aligned with next-generation aircraft programs and aftermarket services.
Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Digital Systems, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in aerospace digital systems, with proven leadership in software-defined avionics, IT/OT integration, or aerospace digital transformation.
In-depth understanding of digital certification frameworks (DO-178C, DO-326A, ARINC standards) and data governance in aerospace.
Strategic leadership in digital engineering and innovation.
Strong expertise in AI, analytics, avionics software, and cybersecurity for aerospace systems.
Deep understanding of systems architecture and integration across embedded and enterprise levels.
