Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Event Planner (Junior Level) to support the planning and coordination of events in the hospitality and tourism sector. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience or education in event management who are eager to grow their skills by working on a variety of event types. You will assist in organizing logistics, communicating with vendors, and ensuring successful execution under the guidance of senior planners.
Event Planning Support:
Assist in coordinating event logistics such as venue bookings, vendor communication, guest registration, and material preparation.
Help maintain planning checklists, timelines, and budgets.
Vendor & Venue Communication:
Liaise with vendors and service providers to confirm availability, collect quotes, and ensure smooth coordination.
Support scheduling and follow-up on event details and deliverables.
Client Assistance:
Participate in client meetings and take notes on event requirements.
Communicate updates or changes with clients under supervision.
On-Site Event Support:
Assist with event setup, registration desk, guest coordination, and breakdown.
Help troubleshoot minor issues and ensure guests have a positive experience.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, schedules, and feedback.
Contribute to post-event reporting and lessons learned documentation.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field
1–2 years of experience in an event assistant, coordinator, or hospitality role (internships or part-time roles included)
Basic understanding of event planning logistics and timelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or event planning tools
Strong organizational and time management skills
Clear communication and a customer-focused mindset
High attention to detail and willingness to learn
Team player with a proactive attitude
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings when required
