We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer with a strong focus on HVAC systems to lead high-impact energy projects in commercial, institutional, and industrial settings. In this leadership role, you will oversee HVAC-focused energy audits, drive optimization strategies, develop decarbonization plans, and mentor junior engineers. You will act as a technical authority, ensuring that projects meet rigorous performance, sustainability, and compliance standards.
Lead ASHRAE Level I, II, and III energy audits with a specialization in HVAC system diagnostics, retrofits, and performance improvement.
Identify and quantify HVAC-related Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) and decarbonization opportunities for existing and new buildings.
Guide clients in adopting high-efficiency HVAC technologies, electrification strategies, and system-level integration with renewables and controls.
Oversee the development and calibration of energy models (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST, HAP, IES-VE) to simulate and evaluate HVAC performance.
Conduct life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA), carbon impact studies, and financial modeling for energy efficiency projects and capital planning.
Ensure alignment with energy codes (ASHRAE 90.1, IECC), green building certifications (LEED, WELL), and utility incentive programs.
Serve as technical lead for energy efficiency and HVAC consulting projects, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, facility managers, and design teams with clear technical and financial rationale.
Support proposal development, project scoping, and client relationship management.
Review and approve technical reports, energy models, and HVAC assessments prepared by junior and mid-level engineers.
Develop internal guidelines for HVAC system analysis, documentation standards, and QA/QC processes.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team.
