Electrician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrician to lead and execute advanced electrical work in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality standards. This role also involves supervising junior staff and coordinating with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Duties

• Install, test, and repair electrical systems, components, and wiring to meet safety codes and project specifications.

• Read and interpret complex electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

• Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical systems and control panels.

• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs with minimal supervision.

Supervision & Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.

• Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety standards.

• Coordinate with other trades and site teams to maintain workflow and deadlines.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets local regulations and client expectations.

• Maintain compliance with electrical safety codes and company policies.

• Record and report material usage, site activities, and project progress.

Planning & Coordination

• Estimate time and materials required for tasks and report to supervisors.

• Assist in planning and organizing daily work schedules.

• Ensure timely completion of electrical tasks within project timelines.

Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field (required); additional certifications preferred.

• 5–10 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.

• Knowledge of national and local electrical codes.

Skills Required:

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures.

• Ability to lead and manage small teams.

• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Proficient in using diagnostic and electrical testing equipment.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors on construction sites, buildings, or plants.

• May involve working in high-risk environments (heights, confined spaces, live circuits).

• Physical fitness and availability for overtime or shift work may be required.
