Job Summary:
The Electrical Calibration Engineer (Fresher) is responsible for assisting in the calibration, testing, and maintenance of electrical instruments and equipment. This entry-level role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of electrical systems under the guidance of senior engineers. The position provides hands-on experience and training in electrical calibration processes, preparing the candidate for advanced roles in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration and Testing:
- Assist in the calibration of electrical equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power meters, to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Perform basic testing of electrical instruments under supervision to verify functionality and compliance with standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for calibration tasks, maintaining precision and consistency.
Documentation:
- Record calibration data accurately and maintain detailed logs for future reference.
- Assist in preparing calibration reports and certificates under senior engineers' guidance.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and testing activities in compliance with industry standards.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Support routine maintenance of calibration equipment and report any issues to senior technicians.
- Participate in basic troubleshooting activities to resolve issues in electrical instruments.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards during calibration and testing activities.
- Maintain awareness of relevant ISO standards, such as ISO 17025, for calibration processes.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior engineers and team members to complete calibration and testing tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects requiring calibrated electrical systems.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and instruments, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Familiarity with calibration processes and tools, such as voltage and current calibrators.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and calibration procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical systems.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Basic training or certification in electrical calibration (e.g., entry-level calibration courses) is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior experience required; internships or academic projects related to electrical systems and calibration are advantageous.
Tools and Equipment:
- Basic calibration tools such as multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and loop calibrators.
- Knowledge of software tools used in calibration and data recording is a plus.
