The Junior ECS Reliability Engineer supports the development and assurance of reliability for ventilation and humidity control systems in aerospace environmental control systems (ECS). This role involves data analysis, testing support, failure mode identification, and contributing to the design and validation processes to improve system robustness and mission readiness. The engineer works closely with senior reliability and thermal engineers to ensure ECS components meet stringent aerospace reliability and safety standards.
Assist in the collection and analysis of reliability data for ventilation and humidity control subsystems
Support root cause analysis and failure mode/effects analysis (FMEA) activities for ECS components
Help plan and execute reliability test programs, including environmental and accelerated life testing
Monitor system performance trends and support corrective actions to improve reliability and maintainability
Document reliability findings, prepare reports, and update reliability databases
Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to identify reliability risks and mitigation strategies
Participate in design reviews and provide input on reliability aspects of ventilation and humidity systems
Learn to apply aerospace reliability standards (e.g., MIL-STD-217, ARP4761) and best practices
Support qualification and certification activities related to ECS ventilation and humidity control
Ventilation and humidity system reliability data collection and analysis
Reliability testing and validation for ECS components
Root cause failure investigation and risk mitigation support
