Job Title: E-Commerce Fulfillment Specialist – Senior Level
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The E-Commerce Fulfillment Specialist – Senior Level is responsible for overseeing and optimizing e-commerce fulfillment operations, ensuring efficiency in order processing, inventory management, and logistics. This role involves strategizing fulfillment workflows, coordinating with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and implementing process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational scalability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fulfillment operations, supply chain management, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Fulfillment & Logistics Oversight

  • Lead and optimize the end-to-end e-commerce order fulfillment process.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing, picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.

  • Manage relationships with logistics partners, warehouses, and shipping carriers to improve delivery efficiency.

  • Develop strategies to reduce shipping costs and enhance last-mile delivery performance.

  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs documentation for global orders.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Oversee inventory tracking, ensuring stock accuracy and availability across multiple fulfillment centers.

  • Analyze demand forecasting data to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.

  • Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize inventory turnover rates.

  • Implement automated inventory management systems for improved efficiency.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify and execute process enhancements to improve fulfillment speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.

  • Implement warehouse management systems (WMS) and order management systems (OMS) to streamline operations.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including order accuracy, fulfillment time, and shipping costs.

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure fulfillment consistency.

Customer Experience & Issue Resolution

  • Oversee order-related customer service escalations and develop resolution strategies.

  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure clear communication on fulfillment statuses and delivery timelines.

  • Reduce order errors and improve return handling processes to enhance the overall customer experience.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and finance teams to align fulfillment operations with business goals.

  • Assist in budget planning and cost control for fulfillment and logistics operations.

  • Provide mentorship and training to junior fulfillment specialists.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging fulfillment technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain management.

  • Expertise in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar).

  • Strong proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and order management systems (OMS).

  • Experience with demand forecasting, inventory planning, and process automation.

  • Ability to lead projects, optimize workflows, and manage multiple fulfillment locations.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for working with vendors and logistics partners.
