Due Diligence Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Due Diligence Accountant to lead comprehensive financial assessments for mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships. This expert-level role is critical in identifying financial risks, uncovering irregularities, and validating the financial health of target entities. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in corporate finance, forensic accounting, and transaction advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, investments, or mergers

  • Analyze historical financial data, forecasts, and cash flow models to assess financial performance

  • Identify potential financial, operational, and tax-related risks

  • Evaluate internal controls, working capital requirements, and debt structures

  • Prepare clear and concise due diligence reports for stakeholders and decision-makers

  • Collaborate with legal, tax, audit, and operational teams during the transaction process

  • Assist in post-transaction integration planning and implementation

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and investors

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus)

  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CFA, or CFE is required

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in financial due diligence, corporate finance, or audit

  • Proven expertise in transaction advisory services, M&A, or investment analysis

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and presentations

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information
