Overview of the Role

The Director of Supplier Quality at Talent Pool is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality standards of suppliers providing turbines, gearboxes, and high-speed equipment. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in supplier quality management within the energy, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing sectors. The successful candidate will lead a team dedicated to supplier qualification, audits, continuous improvement, and compliance, fostering strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality components that meet stringent industry standards. The Director will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams to integrate quality assurance processes and drive initiatives that enhance supplier performance, mitigate risks, and support the company's operational excellence objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive supplier quality strategies aligned with company goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, focusing on turbines, gearboxes, and high-speed equipment.
• Supplier Qualification & Selection: Lead the qualification process for new suppliers, including audits, assessments, and risk analysis to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes, monitor supplier performance metrics, and ensure adherence to international standards such as ISO, ASME, and other relevant certifications.
• Supplier Development & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective and preventive actions, and foster a culture of continuous quality enhancement.
• Audit & Inspection Management: Plan and conduct regular supplier audits and inspections, evaluate non-conformances, and oversee corrective action plans to address quality issues promptly.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve quality issues, optimize supply chain processes, and ensure seamless integration of quality standards across all stages of production.
• Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks related to quality, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical components.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on supplier performance, audit findings, and improvement initiatives for senior management, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
• Market & Industry Trends: Stay informed on emerging trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting supplier quality in turbines, gearboxes, and high-speed equipment sectors.
