The Director of Rotating Equipment Supply Chain is responsible for the strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, and lifecycle supply chain management of critical rotating equipment—primarily turbines (gas, steam), compressors, generators, gearboxes, and their auxiliary systems. The role supports multiple capital and brownfield projects, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, commercial goals, and execution timelines.
Develop and execute global supply chain strategies for rotating equipment to meet the demands of capital and sustaining projects.
Lead category management for turbine and auxiliary systems sourcing, including OEM interface, market intelligence, and supply base development.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and reliability teams to define equipment specifications, supplier qualification criteria, and technical bid evaluations.
Translate complex technical requirements into actionable procurement strategies.
Identify, assess, and manage global suppliers for turbines, generators, BOP skids, lubrication systems, and package auxiliaries.
Negotiate high-value supply contracts including LDs, warranties, performance guarantees, and delivery clauses.
Ensure supplier compliance with QA/QC plans, delivery schedules, and HSE standards.
Oversee end-to-end procurement and delivery logistics, including FAT, packing, shipping, customs, and site delivery coordination.
Monitor supplier progress, expedite critical path items, and mitigate supply chain risks.
Drive standardization, vendor consolidation, and long-term partnerships with OEMs.
Develop supply risk profiles, contingency sourcing plans, and resilience strategies for critical components.
Lead a team of supply chain professionals including buyers, planners, and expeditors.
Serve as a key interface with internal stakeholders including project controls, construction, legal, and finance teams.
Global procurement and logistics of gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal/axial compressors, and generator sets
Package auxiliary systems (lubrication skids, control panels, fuel systems, cooling modules)
OEM engagement and lifecycle support (GE, Siemens, MAN, Solar, MHI, etc.)
Complex, multi-country logistics and shipping coordination
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred)
Experience: 15+ years in supply chain or procurement, with at least 8 years focused on rotating equipment and/or large capital projects
