The Director of Capital Projects Fabrication is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fabrication of modular and skid-mounted equipment for large-scale capital projects. This leadership role involves managing fabrication facilities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and delivering modules on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The director drives fabrication strategy, resource planning, vendor management, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Develop and execute fabrication strategies for modular and skid-mounted equipment supporting capital projects.
Lead capacity planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation for fabrication yards or shops.
Ensure fabrication methodologies meet technical, safety, and quality requirements.
Oversee fabrication schedules to align with overall project timelines.
Coordinate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to mitigate risks and resolve fabrication issues.
Ensure compliance with client specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
Lead and mentor fabrication managers, supervisors, and skilled trades personnel.
Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services.
Implement performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to enhance productivity and quality.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations within fabrication facilities.
Drive continuous improvement in fabrication quality through best practices, inspections, and corrective actions.
Ensure all fabrication activities comply with applicable codes (ASME, AWS, API) and client standards.
Prepare and manage fabrication budgets and forecasts.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or schedule.
Oversee capital investments in fabrication equipment and technology.
